DEVELOPMENT PATTERN

The brief given to the internationally acclaimed master architects for Fairlakes, was to use to good advantage, the climate, fertile soil and the abundant sunlight through the year, in creating a truly self contained, secure and private xanadu.

The architects were asked to study the development of Chandigarh carefully and to come up with an elegant & inspirational architectural designs for Fairlakes. The cubism, grid patterns and use of exposed concrete prevalent in Chandigarh’s architecture are contrasted by Mediterranean style of architecture in Fairlakes, against a backdrop of rolling green landscapes; providing an incomparable quality of life, while cocooning its residents in beautifully landscaped vistas.

The development provides for capturing of rainwater which will be used to recharge the underground aquifers. Most of the water used by the residents will be recycled for gardening and other purposes. It is our endeavour to provide an environmentally sustainable development. Due studies have been carried out about directions of trade winds and trajectory of the winter sun, to plan for natural ventilation and sunlight for each home, and to ensure that no shadows are cast by one building on another during the winter months, as far as possible.
